Who We Are

Meet the team behind Elytra Agroscience Services and our mission to transform agriculture through science.

At Elytra, we are a company dedicated to the study and identification of arthropods (insects and mites) with direct application in the agricultural, environmental, and scientific fields.

We combine taxonomic knowledge, field experience, and technical rigor to offer identification, monitoring, biological control, and entomological advisory services to professionals in the agri-food sector, research centers, public administrations, and environmental entities.

We work with a cross-cutting vision, integrating entomology as a key tool for sustainable pest management, biodiversity conservation, and improvement of productive systems. We offer customized services, reliable results, and specialized training, always with a scientific and practical approach.

Applied Science for more Sustainable Agriculture.

The Origins of Elytra

Cristina and Altea met in 2011 while completing their doctoral theses at the Mediterranean Agroforestry Institute (IAM) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Both had the privilege of being directed by Professor Ferran Garcia Marí, who transmitted to them the passion for entomology and the commitment to scientific rigor.

Since then, they have collaborated on numerous research projects, consolidating a professional complicity based on a common interest in applied entomology and
the desire to transfer knowledge to the agri-food sector.

This shared trajectory culminated in 2017 with the founding of Elytra Agroscience Services, a company born with the vocation of putting science at the service of agriculture, biodiversity, and the sustainable management of ecosystems.
